Who are we and what do we do?

Hi!  I'm Victor and I founded Ernest Meats in 2020.

Although not a native of Canada, I have travelled extensively and am proud to say that it was here in Calgary that I met my wife and settled down, and together we are now raising our young energetic son.  We love to make the most of what this wonderful city has to offer; whether its through trips to the park, shredding in the mountains or riding our bikes to many of Calgary’s family friendly breweries.  This City has so much to offer and Ernest Meats would love to give something back …... from our family to yours.

After a career change in 2012 I graduated from the SAIT Meat Operations and Product Management program and began my career in the meat industry; I have worked in both wholesale and retail for some of Calgary’s most well respected businesses.  This has given me an in depth understanding of what the Calgary consumer deserves and expects; along with a full appreciation of the many wonderful meat products available here in Alberta; from custom made sausages and bacon, to world renowned Alberta beef and pork.  I know how and where to source the very best products to offer to you.

Whilst being a working family and raising our young son; we have learned to appreciate and value our time more than ever before.  Any time lost cannot be recovered and any time saved should be truly cherished; which is why Ernest Meats is run on these three core principles.
